Overview of Tech Data's Web Tools

Tech Data's website tools are available seven days per week, with brief early morning interruptions for data maintenance. The schedule changes occasionally as we try new ways to minimize our down-time, but the exact hours of operation are always posted in advance.

Information is updated nightly, so posted prices and quantities are never more than 24 hours old. If you you need real-time data, you can query our mainframe for up-to-the-minute price and inventory information.

Using Tech Data's Web Tools

For access to the tools, you must log in with an Electronic Commerce User ID and password. This expands the left side bar to include the Keyword Search and allows you access to the Site Tools and other categories. Choose from any of the options on the left side bar to perform the task desired.

Normally, you would proceed through the following steps when using Tech Data's Web tools:

1. Search for products
2. Interpret Search Results
3. Prepare your order in the Shopping Cart
4. Order products online
5. Track your order

Of course, many optional transactions are not part of this routine. You can also do the following:

• Display a list of all your in-progress orders using our Open Order Report
• Return products using our online Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form
• Assign or deny user access rights by using EC Admin (for Main Administrator or Admin Users only)
• Adjust the Site Options to get the most out of using our tools
