Warranty Program
Authorized Service Centers
We are pleased to offer our customers assistance in processing returns for products under manufacturer warranty. This service is exclusively for products that have exceeded the DOA period and have to be sent back to the vendor for repair. The customer will not receive credit on his/her account for these products. Tech Data will credit the account only if the product is under the DOA policy and has met individual manufacturer return guidelines.
Tech Data will provide assistance by offering bilingual, knowledgeable personnel who will help the customer by obtaining an RMA number from the manufacturer. The customer will be instructed to send the defective product for repair or replacement directly to the manufacturer.
The process is as follows:
- The customer contacts a Customer Service Support Representative in Miami, who will check for purchase history and manufacturer return guidelines. The description of the defect and the product's serial number are necessary to process a warranty RMA.
- If the product is under manufacturer warranty, the Customer Service Support Representative will contact the vendor and request an RMA.
Note: The customer should not ship the product to Miami as this will delay the process. Once the Customer Service Support Representative obtains the RMA, he will forward the information to the customer, along with shipping instructions for the product to be shipped directly to the manufacturer.
- Although Tech Data provides assistance on products under manufacturer's warranty, we are not responsible for the product since the product is shipped directly to the manufacturer. In addition to the RMA and shipping instructions, the customer will also be given a phone number to call to follow up on each individual case.
- The customer should complete the RMA Request Form, making sure to include their freight forwarders address, phone and contact. The manufacturer will return the product directly to the freight forwarders, since they are not able to ship internationally. Once completed, the form can be faxed to Miami's Channel Services Department at (305) 718-3115.
